A graduate of Memorial University of Newfoundland, University of Waterloo Ontario and University of Calgary, Pamela Burton is a music education specialist with the Halifax Regional Centre for Education.
Choral conducting and accompanying are her passions and she actively pursues both roles in the Nova Scotia choral community.
She serves as Director of the Halifax Boys Honour Choir and the John W. McLeod School Choir.
In addition, Pamela thoroughly enjoys accompanying the Dartmouth Choral Society, the Cantatrice Ensemble Girls Choir and the Halifax Youth Honour Choir.
She has served on the national board of the Kodály Society of Canada and is an active board member of the Kodály Society of Nova Scotia, promoting the Kodály concept of music education.
In 2011, Pamela was awarded the Superintendent’s Award of Teaching Excellence by the Halifax Regional School Board.
